Carling Switch Cover Removal Tool

This little plastic tool makes it super easy to remove the switch actuator (cover) from the switch body.  It works for all carling V-series contura rocker switch bodies and actuator types, including the custom etched contura V type RockerSwitchPros.com uses.

Putting the actuator ONTO the switch body does not require any tool, you just press it firmly in the middle towards the left and right side.  But if you’re only replacing actuators you’ll need to get the old ones off… this removal tool will do it.  Without this you’d have to man-handle the actuator off, which risks breaking the small catches and ruining the switch body.

Simply push this carling switch cover removal tool between the actuator and the switch body, and it pops right off!

Another useful feature, the grip on the actuator removal tool has ridges made to slip inside our carling snap together mounting panels, to depress the flanges and remove the switch.  You’ll actually need two tools for this (one for each side).  Unlike removing the actuator, even brute force won’t pull the switches out of the mounting panels, so if you think you’re going to need to do this, pick up (2) of these removal tools and save yourself a lot of time.
