DPDT Green LED rocker switch – (2) independent green LEDs

The VJD2-UEEB is a very robust and flexible rocker switch.  It is Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) and it’s function is ON-OFF-ON.  It has two independent green LEDs, one at the top and one at the bottom (What’s this?).  This switch would be used when you want to feed (2) loads from 1 or 2 sources (like a boat’s navigation and anchor, or a car’s turn signal), and when you want the lights to be green.  Having two independent LEDs allows each to be used as a backlight, or jumpered to outputs to create any combination of dependencies.

This switch may also be used as a SPDT switch by simply not using 3 of the terminals.

We say it’s flexible for a reason: Notice in the wiring schematic, that the two half’s of the switch are isolated from each other… and both lamps are totally independent and isolated as well which allows flexibility to use the right side (pins 4-5-6) for one thing and the left side (1-2-3) for another… There are actually (6) separate and isolated circuit paths within this one switch (4 load, 2 illumination)!  With pins 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 isolated, you can provide two different inputs… for instance, you could put 12V+ into pin 2, and 12V- into pin 5, and with a few jumpers can reverse polarity on an electric motor!

This switch is identical to our VJD2-U66B (white lamps) and VJD2-UCCB (red LEDs) , except this little guy has a green LED lighting.

When this ON-OFF-ON green LED rocker switch is meant to be used in conjunction with our custom etched rocker switch actuators, the symbol and label will look white when not backlit (b/c the actuator core is white), but will provide a stunning green illumination when backlit. Green LEDs are also a good choice when the switch will be backlit most of the time b/c it produces less heat and operates longer.

This is a rocker switch body only.  This V-series switch is meant to be paired with our custom etched rocker actuators (covers) or other actuators for a complete switch unit.  All actuators sold on this site will fit this switch.  When using our custom etched actuators you would want to add a “Bottom Lens” for this switch (What’s this?).

Like all our rocker switches this is a genuine Carling Technologies product.  It is IP68 sealed dustproof and waterproof.
