ON-ON Rocker (three way rocker switch)

The V4D1-A60B is the not as common as most, but when you need it, you need it.  It is Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) and it’s function is ON-ON.  It has one independent lamp at the top (What’s this?).  This switch is used as an A-B switch, meaning you send power to EITHER load A, or B… but is never off.   You might use this for something like a boat’s bilge switch, where you either trigger the switch manually, or use a float switch, but never want it turned off.  The lamp (top) acts as a backlight (triggered by another source).

Note also the input and output can be reversed, for instance this switch could be used to SELECT which battery in a (2) bank system is read off of a single voltmeter… this is a common use.

Lastly, note this is commonly called a “three way switch” or “3-way” in the U.S. where two of these are used to operate one device from two DIFFERENT locations (like how the light in a kitchen may be turned on from either the exterior door, or the hall entry).

This is a rocker switch body only.  This V-series switch is meant to be paired with our custom etched rocker actuators (covers) or other actuators for a complete switch unit.  All actuators sold on this site will fit this switch.  When using our custom etched actuators you would NOT want to add a “Bottom Lens” for this switch (What’s this?).
